SPECIAL CHRISTMAS PROGRAMME
  (18/12/07 - 01/01/08)

If you fancy doing something different this Christmas, why don't you come and study Spanish in Spain and what better place than in Granada?
 
     On this special two-week Christmas course, not only will you learn Spanish and find out more about the culture of Spain and of Granada, but just as importantly, you will have an unforgettable holiday and experience Christmas and the customs and traditions of a different place and a different country at first hand. Christmas is very special in Spain, so why don't you come and see in the New Year with us here at Euro Estudios.
 

18.12.07:

Arrival at the school and level test.

19.12.07:


1st day of classes.
14.00: Typical Spanish welcome lunch in a restaurant.
16.00: Tour of the city centre and to places of general interest on foot and on the hop-on hop-off tourist bus

20.12.07:

2nd day of classes.
16.00: Visit to Granada Cathedral and Royal Chapel: places of great architectural and historical interest and where the Catholic Monarchs are buried.


21.12.07:

3rd day of classes.
16.00: Visit to the historical quarter of the Albaizyn, where the city of Granada was originally built; declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. We shall wind through its narrow streets and see the fantastic sunset from the Mirador de San Nicolas with its views of the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada. Then, we shall visit one of the traditional tea houses for a refreshing cup of tea.

22.12.07:

4th day of classes.
17.00: Excursion around the city to visit the nativity scenes ("BELENES"). These cribs can be found all over in Granada, in schools, public buildings, churches, etc. to celebrate the birth of Christ.

23.12.07:

5th day of classes.
Granada tapas tour: Granada is famous for its tapas and we shall shall experience at first hand the great Christmas atmosphere and Granada bar life.


24.12.07:

Christmas Eve (Día de NOCHEBUENA).
This is the most important day of Christmas, and it will be a free day for students to prepare their own Christmas Eve party.

 

25.12.07:

Christmas Day (Día de NAVIDAD). Rest day to recover from the previous night's party and to get ready to start classes again on the Monday.


26.12.07:

6th day of classes.
16.00: Visit to the Cartuja Monastery. Built in the 16th century which shows works of art and architecture from the 16th-19th centuries.

27. 12.07:

7th day of classes.
16.00: Visit to the Sacromonte (the cave quarter where traditionally the gypsies first settled) and to the Sacromonte Abbey

28.12.07:

8th day of classes.
17.00: Visit to the Federico García Lorca Museum/House in Granada

29.12.07:

9th day of classes.
15.00: Visit to the Alhambra


30.12.07:


10th day of classes.
14.00 hrs: Excursion to the Granada Costa Tropical where we shall explore its Moorish castles and Mediterranean villages.

31.12.07:

20.00: New Year's Eve (Día de Nochevieja), the last night of the year; teachers and students shall prepare a large party to see the New Year in properly. We shall eat the 12 lucky grapes - a typical Spanish custom, which is done all over Spain to bring good luck in the New Year; then we shall go out on the town all night.

PRICE PER PERSON IN SINGLE BEDROOM:  590 Euros
PRICE PER PERSON IN DOUBLE ROOM:  540 Euros (reservation for 2 people arriving together)


TOTAL NUMBER OF CLASS HOURS: 40

-Included in the price are: all the activities, excursions and entrance tickets for the monuments, and the welcome meal on 19.12.07; also included are course books and course diploma.

-Not included in the price are: the Christmas Eve party, the New Year's Eve party, and any refreshments on the excursions and activities.
